PROJECT UPDATE
DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY
Planning Permit Issued
This has been a longer and more involved planning process than usual, requiring a significant amount of coordination, follow-up and persistence with Council. It has taken considerable work from the broader consultant team to reach this point, but the final outcome has made the effort worthwhile, with a strong design result for a prominent corner site.
Both Council and VCAT have confirmed that no objector appeals were lodged, and Yarra City Council has now formally issued the Planning Permit.
Our town planner described it as “the best-looking corner in Fitzroy North” — a big call, but one we are very pleased with and confident the finished project can live up to.
With the permit now secured, we are continuing to progress the detailed working drawings and have commenced the interior design phase in preparation for construction following settlement in early September.
We have also received strong valuation results, which provide additional flexibility as we finalise the project’s lending arrangements.
